The Origin of Goodness

Again, conceptual art for "Moto: World Beginnings" project. These two main characters are named in Japanese- The samurai is Zenmoto(The Origin of Goodness) and Hitorikko (An Only Child). Care for a story? Ok:

First Zen-moto. He's a defunct samurai (a ronin), removed from service by the daimyo because he was blinded in battle and considered useless. What they don't know is that Zen will eventually release his inner "chikara" or strength to fight with meta-human agility without using his eyes. He found Hitorikko while fighting it's mom...

Hitorikko is named as such because of the following:

It's mother was about to give birth; Zen-moto wandered through the forest; driven by instinct to protect it's young, the mother attacked Zen; Zen protected himself by fighting back and in the process killed the beast; As he looked at the beast he saw it's belly moving; He took out his wakizashi (short sword) and cut open the flesh; He saw the beast's offspring and in reparation took the baby and cared for it. He named it Hitorikko.

Well there you have it. Please pray that I finish the project. I'm gonna work on it some more/maybe polish some anatomical details then color it.
